I enjoy having any part in helping our community to move forward. I hope this weekly blog will help shine a light on all the great things happening in and around Boyertown, PA

Here is what’s going down during the week of 4/15/2021 – 4/21/2021

THE BEARS ARE COMING OUT OF HIBERNATION!

Pull off the knit hats, tear off those jackets, kick off the snow boots! It’s time to come out of hibernation! Building a Better Boyertown is hosting the event “Coming Out of Hibernation” this Saturday April 17^th and it will be the biggest and best yet! One and all are welcome to come out to Philadelphia Avenue (between Reading Ave & Washington St) from 11am-2pm and celebrate Spring, life, and community!

The event will be packed with fun for all ages. The kids (and adults) will giggle with Kookoo’s twist on magic, or learn about bees with Hinterhof Farm, maybe have a sweet treat from Boyertown Ice Cream & Water Ice Factory or The Peppermint Stick Candy Store. The Elmwood Park Zoo will be bringing some of their animals to show off. Also, you can have your little cubs have their picture taken with the B-town Bear!

Is it shopping you’re looking for? There will be vendors and crafters galore! Whether it’s home décor at The Vintage Nest, or flowers from Society Blooms, or handmade candles by Love is Key Scents, you are bound to find something you like. Give some love to your fur babies at Tanya’s Tasty Treats. Do you want a better martini? Kiki Vodka will be there too!

Want some yummy food? Los Gios Smoke & Grill will be bringing Boyertown his smoked Mexican fusion delights. Brisket tacos, pulled pork sandwiches, and more! You can preorder your lunch at https://www.losgios.com/menu and pick it up when you get to the event. Then you can top things off with delicious cheesecake from Semper Pie.

There will also be lots of great entertainment from musical duo Justin & Glenn, magic from Michael Kaminskas, martial arts presentations by Ellixson’s Tae Kwon Do Academy, and Boyertown’s own Alumni Marching Unit. You can also get a free massage by Boyertown Medical Message or take a free Zumba class from the YMCA!

Coming out of Hibernation has something for everyone of all ages. So, crawl out of your caves this weekend and enjoy a spring afternoon jam packed full of fun!
