The Old Soul Stroll of Boyertown
Do you believe in ghosts? Do you love history? Do you live in Boyertown, but don’t know a lot about its past? If you said yes to any of these questions, then the Old Soul Stroll of Boyertown is the “must do” tour for you.
Last week my family and I met up with some friends for an evening in Boyertown that included shopping, dinner, and a ghostly tour. After a delicious meal at Grind Restaurant, we walked to the Boyertown Area Historical Society for our “Old Soul Stroll” walking tour.
When we arrived and checked in for our tour, we had time to peruse the History Museum as we waited for the other participants to arrive. The museum had interesting and intriguing displays throughout the room. There were even some creepy items. We could have spent more time viewing the museum, but we will just have to come back another day for that.
Now that the tour was about to begin, our tour guides, Adriane & Jeremy, started us off with some information about themselves, Boyertown, the Historical Society, and the tour we were about to take.
As we walked out of the building to begin our evening of shadows of the past, a full moon leered above us and the crisp air chilled our skin. It was the perfect setting for a creepy stroll through Boyertown.
We walked around town stopping from time to time to admire buildings and historical sites that remain as witnesses to an age long ago. Adriane told us stories that would whisk us back in time. And yes, some of those stories had a ghostly ending.
By the end of the tour, our friends and I not only got a glimpse into the history of Boyertown, but learned things that I never new about our little town.
Now, you didn’t think I was going to tell you any details about the tour, did ya? You will have to experience that yourself by purchasing a ticket for your own tour. I promise you this, if you do, you will learn something new about the history, and sometimes creepy past, of Boyertown.

I’ve done the Walking Ghost Tour in Boyertown ,3 times; i’ve heard the stories –but when I talk to downtown bussinsses,they don’t know anything about any ghost(s) inside their place of business. I’ve also investigated some of the businesses with Paranormal Investigation Groups ,and we weren’t able to detect anything. The Opera House. (now apartments) is said to be “spooky” ,but that’s about it for Boyertown . Charles Adams declared Boyertown as “One if the most haunted small towns in America” –but Mr Adam’s “ghosts” all appear to be phony/fabricated. “I” am a ghost hunter — most of the ghosts i’ve experienced are/have been,right here,in my own house. They come and go,but right now,I have two ghosts in my house. Ghosts DO exist,but , I think most of the “haunted locations” are. fairy tales. ,which Charles Adams. and others, make up . But the ghosts in MY house are real !
