Boyertown Hallowen Parade ’24

Get ready for the most anticipated Halloween event in the area! On October 19th, Boyertown will host its 71st annual Halloween parade, and it’s shaping up to be the best one yet! Organized by the Boyertown Area Historical Society and local historian and businesswoman Adriane Zapien, with help from volunteers, sponsors, local businesses, restaurants, and the entire community, this year’s parade promises plenty of fun and nostalgia.

In a nod to history, the Historical Society has revived the parade’s original 1914 name, “Der Gnom Karneval,” adding a unique twist to this cherished local tradition. As the largest and most eagerly anticipated Halloween parade in the area, it’s one you won’t want to miss!

The 2024 Boyertown Halloween Parade kicks off at 7 PM on Friday, October 19th with the devilish Belsnickel leading the procession. With over 95 groups and 225 vehicles registered, there will be no shortage of entertainment. Friendship Hook & Ladder Fire Company will be serving hot food and beverages, and several restaurants along the route will also be ready to feed hungry parade-goers. And don’t worry, there will be plenty of porta-potties throughout the route for your convenience.

Exciting cash prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in categories such as Best Dressed All-Around, Most Original, Spookiest, Best Group Performance, and Crowd Pleaser. And of course, there will be plenty of candy!

With the help of emergency service workers and volunteers, the main goal is to ensure a safe, well-organized, and fun family event for everyone. So, PLEASE make sure your children stay off the roads and on the sidewalks during the parade. The safety of the children come first!

So gather your family, find a great viewing spot, and enjoy the parade! Don’t forget, the success of this event depends on the community’s support. If you’d like to volunteer your time, services, or donations for next year’s event, it would be a treat! Enjoy the parade and have a Happy Halloween!
