Welcome! This is your one stop guide to local events and more...

As a Boyertown graduate, a real estate agent at Glocker Realty, and also a proud member of Building a Better Boyertown & BMBA, I have had the joy of watching our little town grow. I enjoy having any part in helping our community to move forward. I hope this weekly blog will help shine a light on all the great things happening in and around Boyertown, PA.

Whether you’re tuning in for the Super Bowl’s commercials, halftime spectacle, or the game itself, gathering with friends and family is always a highlight. Whether you’re hosting a party or simply enjoying the game with your family, the goal is to make the evening unforgettable. So why settle for an ordinary experience when you can turn it into something truly memorable? Bring the stadium atmosphere into your living room with these Super Bowl party ideas, ensuring that no matter the game’s outcome, your gathering is a guaranteed touchdown!

Prepare Food Ahead of Time.

When it comes to hosting, preparing ahead of time is key. And when it comes to the Super Bowl, no one wants to miss out on the game.

Set the Scene

Make your guests feel like they’re watching the game from the sidelines with plenty of creative decorations. From AstroTurf coasters to football drink stirrers to a festive concession stand sign, decorating for your party can be just as fun as the party itself.

Bring on the Drinks

Football wouldn’t be a great American sport without a great American beverage. Make sure you have a wide variety of beers, cocktails, and sodas. Mix up a pitcher of drink ahead of time that matches the Super Bowl or team colors.

Be in the Game

Stay involved in the big game by playing Super Bowl themed games with your guests.  A couple of the most popular choices the the Super Bowl Squares game. You can play the adult money version of the game or a kid friendly version with prizes. Another good one is Super Bowl Commercial Bingo.

Play Football Knockdown

Play a game of football knockdown with small brown cups and a soft football. Use a white paint pen to draw laces on your cups before stacking them upside down. Take turns knocking them down with the football!

Wing It

The staple of any great sports viewing party are the delicious, finger licking chicken wings. Prepare a range of flavors from extra spicy to sweet and mild and have a few dipping sauces on the side. If you would like a less messy version you can cook a crock of Buffalo Chicken Dip.

Have a Backup

If the day comes and you don’t feel like cooking or maybe you even run out of snacks (eeek!), make sure you have a few backup snacks handy. This is a good idea for drinks too!

Finger Foods

Make a meal out of hors d’oeuvres, including bite-size taco cups, potato skins, cheesy sliders, and more. The best part: You can ditch the forks and knives altogether, making the post-game cleanup way easier.

Air Fryer!

Nothing makes crispier, crunchier snacks than the air fryer!

Don’t Forget Dessert

Wings get a lot of the glory on game day, but don’t forget your dessert! Football fans need sweets, too.

The Kansas City Chiefs face the San Fransico 49ers in Super Bowl 58 this Sunday at 6:30 PM. You can watch the game on CBS or Paramount+.
