Holiday Party Ideas & Tips

Are you hosting a holiday party this year? Are you looking for good ideas to make your gathering a little easier and fun for everyone? Do you want to be the host with the most? Below are some ideas that will help your party run smoothly and end up a big hit!

Early Prep Dishes

While holiday cooking can be fun, it can also be time-consuming. To save yourself time on the day of the party, prepare make-ahead dishes that can be stored in the freezer or refrigerator until needed. This way, you can focus on enjoying the party instead of spending all your time in the kitchen.

Create a Signature Cocktail

Nothing says holiday party like a festive signature cocktail. Try making a Holiday Eggnog, English Christmas Punch, or find your own yummy recipe. It will put your guests in the holiday spirit right away.

Self-Serve Drinks

When you have guests rolling in the door, the first thing they’ll be looking for is a drink. Make it quick and easy for them to get a cocktail or mocktail by creating a self-serve drink station.

Wine Glass Chip & Dip Bowl

A great way to present chips and dip at your party is with a wine glass. Place the wine glass in the center of a large bowl, add chips around the glass, and fill the glass with the dip. Voila!

Save time on taking out the trash by lining your bin with several bags. When the trash can gets full during a busy party, you can just remove it and a fresh clean bag will already be in it’s place.

Both kids and adults will have fun putting together the perfect hot chocolate. Adults can add their choice of spirits to make it extra merry.

Get Festive!

First things first, put up your holiday party decorations nice and early. Set the mood by creating a warm and inviting atmosphere with cheery holiday music. If you want the crackling fireplace atmosphere without the added heat, find a festive yule log screensaver for the TV for ambiance.
