Independence and Fireworks!
This Tuesday is America’s Independence Day. It all started on July 4th 1776, when our forefathers signed a document called the Declaration of Independence. On that day America’s thirteen colonies broke free from British rule and declared themselves The United States of America. Our founding fathers set off to start a new and better country. I think one of the most poignant passages from the Declaration of Independence is…
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness…”
Through trials and tribulations, two hundred forty-seven years later, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are still the groundwork for America. This is why we celebrate July 4th. So, enjoy the holiday, have fun with your family, be kind to your fellow American, because we are all part of the great idea called The United Sates of America!

Here is a list of the firework displays in the area:
Bechtelsville: Morning Star Fellowship is hosting a Community Celebration & Fireworks on Friday, June 30th. Fireworks will begin at 9:15pm.
Phoenixville: The Annual Phoenixville Fireworks are held at Friendship Field on Sunday, July 2nd at 6pm. The fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.
Upper Perk: 2023 Hometown 4th of July Celebration will begin at 8am on Tuesday, July 4th at Goshenhoppen Park in East Greenville. There will be activities throughout the day, followed by the annual fireworks display at 9pm.
Pottstown: Pottstown’s GoFourth Festival! This is the largest celebration in the area, with events planned throughout the day and night starting at 10:15am on Tuesday, July 4th. The huge firework finale is slated for 9:30pm
Boyertown: Avoid the traffic and parking by taking a scenic ride in the July 4th Fireworks Express to Pottstown’s GoFourth Festival on the Colebrookdale Railroad! The train leaves at 7pm on Tuesday, July 4th. After arrival at Pottstown’s Memorial Park you can enjoy the festivities and fireworks then take the train ride home. Choo-choo!
Limerick: Waltz Golf Farm will host their July 4th Extravaganza on Tuesday, July 4th. The fun begins at 4pm and live music by Whiskey Grin will begin at 7pm. The fireworks will begin at Dusk.
Lower Providence: 27th Annual All American Fireworks will be held at dusk on 4th of July. A celebration featuring Sound Sensational DJ’s begins at 7:30pm at Eagleville Park.
North Coventry Township: The Norco Fire Company holds its annual Norco Fair 0n July 3-8. There will be carnival rides and games, and the Sly Fox Beer Garden will be open nightly. The fireworks will be held on Friday, July 7th starting at 10:00pm
