Ode To Mom

Moms are the most important people in our lives. Whether it is the one that raised you, the one that raised your children, or the one that raised the one you love, they are special beings. Heck! None of us would be here if it weren’t for moms. There is no one gesture that would show them how much they mean to us, but thankfully there is a day that we can try to show our love and gratitude. Mother’s Day is the one day we can put all things aside and dedicate ourselves to the moms in our lives. I know that one day isn’t enough, but it’s a start. On behalf of all the sons and daughters, I would like to say that our moms are in our hearts every day, even if we don’t show it all the time. Have a wonderful and well-deserved Mother’s Day.

Here are a couple poems that I thought best express the love for moms…

For My Mom

For all the times that I forgot to “thank you,”

For all the special, little things you do,

For all the words that sometimes go unspoken,

I need to say “I love you, Mom… I do.”

I love you for the way you stop and listen,

And for your support throughout the years,

For teaching me the meaning of compassion,
