A Weekend of Love and Champions!
This Valentine’s weekend begins with love and ends with the battle of champions! Grab your sweetheart, and if no sweetheart, then grab a friend or two, for a love infused weekend of events in Boyertown. How about a stroll through town eating chocolate and sipping wine? Or getting your photo taken in a vintage 1952 convertible? How about dinner for two at one of Boyertown’s tasty restaurants? There is that and much more to enjoy this weekend. Speaking of this weekend, we can’t forget that the NFL’s biggest game takes place this Sunday! Hopefully the mighty birds will fly our city to victory! So, what will it be…love or thunder? How about both!
Start off your weekend with BMBA’s annual Sweetheart Stroll Wine and Chocolate Walk. On Friday from 5-8pm you can enjoy a walk around Boyertown while indulging in some wine and chocolates. There are over 15 businesses participating in this event. That’s a lot of wine and chocolate! There will also be a DJ providing music and a Valentine’s backdrop for you to take selfies. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased here: Sweetheart Stroll
Make a day of it on Saturday with Building a Better Boyertown’s Beary Loved event. There will be musicians stationed throughout the streets as well as other fun pop-up experiences, a pop-up bar – Love Potion No. 9 in the rail yard, and lots of great gift ideas in the local shops. The festivities run from 1-5pm which gives you the perfect opportunity to take your special someone to a romantic lunch or dinner and catch a movie at the State Theatre (find restaurants here: Boyertown Directory). Don’t forget to stop in at the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles for your sweetheart photo in a 1952 white and red convertible! Find more details here: Beary Loved
All aboard! Hop on the Colebrookdale Railroad for Cupid’s Arrow Dinner Train. Enjoy a five-course French meal, each course paired with wine, while traveling through the secret valley. Relax in the beautifully decorated car while listening to the sweet sounds of a live harpist. It will be a magical evening of romance. The train runs Saturday at 5pm and Tuesday at 6pm. Finish off the weekend with Super Bowl Sunday! The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles on NFL’s biggest stage this Sunday at 6:30pm. Who will walk away with the coveted Lombardi Trophy? I sure hope it’s the Eagles!
