THREE FUNDRAISING EVENTS IN BOYERTOWN! This week brings us three fundraising events in Boyertown. Building a Better Boyertown and Berks-Mont Business Association are hosting the Boyertown Food Blitz, Comedy Under the Stars, and Virtual Oktoberfest. These are some fun ways to support your community and local businesses. See below for more details…
BOYERTOWN FOOD BLITZ –TODAY! September 17th, the Berks-Mont Business Association is asking you to support the food establishments of the Boyertown area. Breakfast? Lunch? Dinner? Why go through the hassle of making your own food, when you can have one of the participating businesses make a delicious meal for you! Grind Restaurant, The Other Farm Brewery, Iezzi’s on 3rd, Moyer’s Catering, Barrel & Ale, Saville’s Diner, The Bridge Inn, Union Jack’s Inn on the Manatawny, The Peppermint Stick Candy Store, Simply Sherry Bakery, Brakeman’s Cafe, Doc’s Irish Pub, The Grill Shop, Weidner’s Deli. Let’s support local and enjoy a great meal. Bon appetit!
COMEDY UNDER THE STARS – Big comedy show TONIGHT! Thursday, September 17th, Soul Joel’s Comedy Club brings comedian Nick Griffin to Boyertown Community Park! Nick Griffin has been a comic in New York and across the country for over 25 years. He has appeared on The Conan O’Brian Show, The Late Late Show, Comedy Central, and was featured on The Late Show with David Letterman eleven times. Now he can add Boyertown, PA to his list of credits! The night will start off at 6PM with live music from Jacob Currie and will also feature comedians Shafi Hossain and Ben Moore. Guests are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets for seating. There will be no food or drink offered at the show, but you are encouraged to patronize the local food establishments (see Boyertown Food Blitz). Tickets are ONLY $20 and $10 from each ticket will be donated back to Building a Better Boyertown and Berks-Mont Business Association. So, bring your sweater, grab some food & drink, and settle in for a night of laughs!
BOYERTOWN OKTOBERFEST (VIRTUAL) – Strap on your Lederhosen and grab a liter of your favorite beer for VIRTUAL OKTOBERFEST! Building a Better Boyertown presents two of the area’s favorite bands this weekend. You can sing along with Kim & Paul on Friday night at 6pm and rock with Mudpuppy on Saturday at 6pm, all from the comfort of your own couch. Both performances can be viewed live over any web based device. GOODBYE SUMMER, HELLO FALL… September 22nd brings our summer to a close and the Autumn season begins. As the leaves start to change and the morning air gets crisp, I like to look back on the fun we had this summer and look forward to the unknown that future holds.
